What makes this workshop special?
Rhythm and movement are a fundamental part of all life, from the slow expansion and contraction of stars, to the gentle beat of a human heart. This workshop will provide the knowledge and skills to open up and explore our connection to life. The western world can feel so fast paced and we need to find ways to bring the body, mind and heart into natural coherence. In this workshop, we play traditional frame drums which allow us to move between both our inner and outer experience. Rhythmic patterns connect us to our personal sense of resonance and also provide the opportunity to integrate into a collaborative expression of sound - together we find personal and collective wellbeing.
Who is it for?
This is not just a drum circle! Rhythm is an essential part of sound therapy practice and this workshop will explore some of the key concepts. This workshop will suit anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of rhythm. Although this is not an accredited course it can serve as great CPD for health and therapy practitioners.
