Yoga and Somatics bring a wonderful sense of awareness to the body and mind helping us to become more conscious of ourselves.
Within our approach we teach group classes as a fully inclusive practice that is adaptable to suit the needs of differing abilities, ages and cultures.

All of the above classes have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where we aim to introduce a better understanding of your own body and mind.
Mats, blocks and blankets are always available but you are welcome to bring along anything that would make you more comfortable.

Yoga is a safe and enlightening way to release tension and make a pathway into an awareness of the self.
Somatics brings a gentle route into the anatomy of the body helping us to unlock tension, restore health and resolve injuries.

'I have been attending yoga classes for many years but finding Lucy's class at Wildern Sports Centre has been a revelation, particularly for lower back pain. 'Less is more' is a concept alien to most classes but Lucy's teaching of Somatics involving small, controlled movements has produced unbelievable results.  On many occasions I have started the class with nagging lower back pain only to leave with greater flexibility and definite pain reduction.  Lucy begins her classes with an informative and enjoyable anatomical explanation about how the exercises relate to different parts of our body.  All this and a time to relax.  My favourite hour of the week. 'I have been practising yoga for two years with Lucy, at Wildern Sports Centre and also at Horton Heath and have found a great improvement in my
general health, mobility and mindfulness.
I attribute this to Lucy's extensive and varied knowledge of many types of yoga. Lucy has the ability to work with
each person personally, helping them to attain their individual best, whilst also making the classes extremely enjoyable.
Lucy also, always takes the time to explain how each practise and posture will improve students wellbeing, physically and mentally.
Thank you Lucy.'

'Both my husband and I have been attending Lucy's yoga classes for three years. The class always caters for everyone's ability which makes it feel both welcoming and interesting and we would not miss it.'

'I have been attending Lucy's yoga class for over 2 years now and without a doubt it is the most relaxing 1 hour and 15 minutes of my week. Lucy is a fantastic teacher - she explains things clearly and thoroughly so even if you've never done yoga before you could come along with confidence. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.'
