Alchemy
of Fire & Sound
of Fire & Sound
Fireside Evening of Sound, Meditation and Nature Connection
Held deep within the wild hills of the South Downs, we gather around the hearth fire of the large Roundhouse at Butser Ancient Farm. In the spirit of old, together we shall embark upon a transformational experience of sound alchemy. We will come together as a circle of friends, create our personal offering to the fire and honour nature's current cycle of change.
Through our practice, we will connect with the power of collective sound and resonate deeply with Earth energies through frame drumming and chant, of both ancient and common tongue. With periods of silent meditation, with all but the crackle and warmth of the fire, we shall contemplate our relationship with the land and our collective wellbeing. It's a chance to rewild our souls and free the heart and mind from the grip of modern life.
There will also be a powerful guided journey into the very depths of sound itself. Through deep relaxation and a shift in consciousness, you will be bathed in the sound of gongs, singing bowls and the sacred instruments of our ancestors. Through these experiences we connect with something beyond words and a deep sense or knowing that has been lost to time. We are no less than the keepers of the sacred fire and guardians of this beautiful Earth.

Who is this event for?
Anyone with an interest in sound therapy, earth connection and a desire to find a greater sense of peace within themselves.
What will we be doing?
We like to keep this a bit of a mystery but rest assured no experience is necessary! This events revolves around concepts or sound therapy practice and natural earthing and explores techniques that help to improve wellbeing.
How to prepare for the event:
There will be a little bit of practice outside but most of the event will be inside the Saxon Hall. The space will be warmed by a traditional Saxon hearth fire but we recommend bringing warm clothes and blankets. There will also be a period of time when you are lying on the floor (during the sound bath) so it's essential you have something to lie on, plenty of blankets and maybe even a pillow. Although the space is really lovely it is a Saxon Hall, so wrap up warm and embrace the wild!
