This community ‘frame drum’ circle is an open space for people to come together and share a love for drumming, rhythm and meditation. The ‘circle of sound’ we form is about coming together and sharing our collective resonance for positive change. This is a tradition as old as humanity itself and the great thing about frame drumming, is that anyone can play, regardless of experience or musical ability.

What to expect:
Each class will involve gentle movement, rhythmic play and sound based meditation. As we come together, we set our intentions for the class and move through a collective journey of sound. We finish with a period of quiet meditative contemplation.
What’s so special about this practice?
This class is unique in that it brings the practice of sound therapy to both a personal and collective level. Drumming is an excellent medium for channeling energy, emotion and the release of tension. It brings us together with a shared intention for wellbeing and allows us to get in touch with ourselves.
Do you need a frame drum and previous experience?
This class is not about teaching you to play but it is so easy you will be surprised! You might however, like to look into attending our therapeutic rhythms introductory workshop. If you have your own frame drum then please bring it along, although there will be some to play if you don’t own one yet.

Can I bring a different type of drum? This class is specifically designed for frame drums. As much as I love other drums, please only bring a frame drum. Do you sell frame drums? At this point in time we do not sell frame drums but we can point you in the right direction to find one. When, where and how much? Woodland Community Centre, Fair Oak (Near Eastleigh/Winchester) Saturday 7th November 2020 19:30 - 20:30 £8 per person What to bring: Please bring a yoga mat, cushion, blanket and any other comfort you may require.
