Who is it for?
This course is suitable for everyone, regardless of experience or camera skills. You can use any camera from a smartphone to professional DSLR - although there will be some technical input, our focus will be on 'awareness and learning to see creatively'. What's it all about? Like me, if you enjoy taking photographs it is true to say that there have probably been times when you feel inspired and others when you seem to lose that connection, but why is this the case? During my career as a teacher within sixth form and adult education, my understanding of creativity and the human mind has evolved. I have had the pleasure of teaching thousands of people and there have been some truly fascinating insights. For example, did you know that certain parts of your brain light up when you are feeling inspired? That buzz you get when you are in your creative zone... it’s totally real! Through my years of training and practice as a therapist I have explored the relationship between sound and the human mind and have developed a practice for you to experience this ‘creative zone’ for yourself. My one day course in ‘Resonance Photography’ uses sound therapy, mindfulness and exposure to nature to ignite your creativity. |
How does it work?
The modern world can be a stressful place and our state of mind is not always conducive to feeling creative. On our Resonance Photography day we will enjoy a ‘sound bath’ and periods of meditative practice that will engage you with the more creative aspects of your mind. This combined with more logical information on how to take technically effective photographs, will leave us primed and ready for action! After a period of mindfulness practice we will step out into the beautiful countryside and begin to take photographs. Through the intelligent use of technology, we direct our attention and senses towards the healing power of nature. By spending time outside (barefoot is ideal!) and through taking photographs, we reconnect with the Earth’s Electromagnetic Frequency (EMF) loop that our modern world so regularly insulates us from. There is of course much more to tell. When, where and how much? Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Waterlooville Friday 29th May 2020 10:00 - 15:30 £45 per person What to bring: Please bring your own camera of your choice. We will provide yoga mats for comfort during the sound therapy but please bring your own if you have one. Lunch is not provided as part of the course but there is a lovely cafe on site providing a great selection of food and drink. |
